Very nice folks. Was placed in a newly remodeled rooms. Nice and clean.
My father and I stayed here during Christmas time. Although we had quite a few issues with the hotel maintenance, the staff: Angela (front desk), Buzz (night auditor) Heather (amazing chef!) and Bill (general manager) made our stay wonderful. They were extremely accommodating and helpful. It was a very emotional trip for us so to have such lovely staff made all the difference. Thank you for such a pleasant experience.
Nice and clean. The lobby was just renovated and they have started renovations on the 4th floor. Rates were reasonable. Location is right next to Chick Fil A, so good for business.
The hotel was clean. The rooms seemed to be in good shape, but lacked things I would expect today like USB outlets. The pillows were awful, thin little squares. I would stay here again, but bring my own pillows. The lack of complimentary breakfast made the price a bit excessive
Stayed here for a night during my driver down to South Carolina. The rooms were clean and well kept. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and there were great amenities in the lobby.
Traveling extended period for business, stayed here for much of January and February 2025. First I want to say what an incredible Assistant Manager they have in Leeann Shrewsbury! I actually have been back/forth to this particular hotel over the course of a year running several construction sites. Leeann has gone over and above repeatedly to help make sure everything was perfect. She remembered me by name, always put me in the room type I preferred. Really made this feel like a second home. The hotel has great rooms, bathrooms are clean, neat .. could use some updating with fixtures but nothing to complain about at all. Housekeeping does a wonderful job and typically does a full turn-over every 2 days. Having stayed an extended period and working early in the day (typical start before 5am) they went out of the way to fill my coffee supplies up so I never needed to ask for anything. The Starbucks downstairs is great for a quick coffee or snack, the resturant has really decent food and of course the bar is always inviting in the evenings. Across the street from this hotel is a Chick-Fil-A and an Outback Steakhouse. Full "diner" style breakfast completely in walking distance down the service road. Wonderful hotel, great staff, acccomodating and will return in the future if I need to stay in Beckley, WV again!
Despite being under renovations it was really nice. Nokecia English and Benjamin McKoy provided above and beyond customer service that made our stay truly enjoyable.
Room is pretty nice.. I love the curved couch. The shower is nice. I miss those amenitities..like shower cap & personal kits. Its a small thing but I use them. So if possible included those in the room. TV is decent size. Some marriotts have very small ones. The rooms dont have microwaves but there is one available in market area. Overall good rxperience
